First time meme - Vali Bardir

Maybe this will get me out of my rut.

SOOOO... FIRST TIME MEME.

I'm using Vali Bardir, the berserker for this video game thing I'm thinking up (I've actually got a ton written down in my notebook about it, but I'm hesitant to share).

1. I fail babies forever. DILLIGAF?

2. Raising a child who goes berserk at the drop of a hat is a bitch.

3. QUITE LITERALLY the apprentice wizard Isa Moden saved several villages from an untimely demise by being kind and giving Vali a simple power limiting headband.

4. Isa Moden also saved his life by not telling his teacher, Lady Nimue, that they had a stowaway on board. Yes, Isa has heterochromia in his eyes. Isa, much later in life, crosses paths with Vali again, this time as a fully-fledged wizard, though Vali has long since forgotten the name of his rescuer. Isa Moden is too badass for words.

5. Not many people want to be close to the living incarnation of the god that's going to destroy the world. Nan Betony, in spite of her irritation at his shirtlessness and rude behavior, ends up quite close to him.

6. ...Quite close. CENSOR DOOR IS CENSORING. Unfortunately, there's never a private moment when you're in an adventuring party. Aine, the elven summoner, is a cranky killjoy from Alfheim, the Land of Elves, and Peter J. Hooke, the swashbuckling swordsman, is the pretty-boy in charge of your world travel arrangements (his galleon, the Jolly Roger's Revenge, is quite tricked out and he always makes himself very useful).

Yes, the door does specifically say "THIS MEANS YOU, PETER." They know him well.

7. Last time Vali sees his mum is when she holds the door shut to give him time to run out the back - his dad's already shuffled off the mortal coil on the other side of the door, stalling for time. I'd have shown more, but it'd mean revealing the villain.

All of them have pretty meaningful names, actually - some are plot relevant, too.
