_{blahblah a lot of my coworkers suck, I don't really have days off because I still have stuff to do on those days and I am most assuredly going insane from the lack of me time.}

So here, have a Naruto fancharacter related to a fanfic I've been working on, because I don't feel like posting anything other than fun things right now.

Identifying Marks - a small tattoo on his right wrist.

Gakuto teaches kyūdō and yabusame at a local dojo in one of the civilian towns of Fire Country. He often performs as a master in some of the ritualized forms of archery for the local and area shrines. He also works from time to time as a caravan guard with his cousins, the Shijuu brothers, with the Shijuu Trade Company.

It is with this enterprise that the true extent of Gakuto's talents in archery are shown. Gakuto is an expert marksman with a bow, able to drop targets at distance even while riding on horseback at full gallop.

He began to study the way of the bow at age 16, during the war against Madara and Kabuto. Refugees from a razed village, he and his girlfriend, Mao, were caught up in the invasion of the village they'd fled to. He was told to help defend the village and given quick instruction in the bow by one of the masters. He proved to be a natural adept and assisted his instructor in providing cover fire for the Shinobi army for the duration of several battles.

After the war, he settled in his teacher's village and married Mao. He later joined his cousins in applying through Konoha for a special Chuunin license that would allow them to run their own security in their trade company. He does not, however, accompany them on every caravan.

Gakuto is patient and very controlled. He wastes no movement and meditates regularly. He is harsh on his students, but not unfair. He rarely gets upset, except if his wife or cousins are in harm's way.

He has no headband because he is effectively still civilian. His restricted license is more like a... "you can do something if crap happens, but you defer to us as soon as we get there, understand?"

The kanji for his name are にそじ (nisoji) + がくと (gakuto). His given name has multiple meanings - his family name, not so much.
